Which is better to take my son for his 3rd birthday, Lego Land or The San Diego Zoo?

San Diego Zoo
I don't really know Lego Land and I'm thinking he'll get bored at the Zoo easily… any suggestions?
I think Lego Land would be a lot of fun for him, the place is very cool, you would probably even like it. The zoo is a 50-50 shot with a child i would say. My reasons are because either he will be very interested in all the animals and love it a want to pet every one, or he will get frightened and scared and cry a lot over the big scary things. I dont know your son and maybe he is in love with animals? and/or maybe he plays with legos? Hope that helps!

Ask him which one he'd rather go to.

I agree with avery, ask him. Also which holds his intrest more animals or playing with legos. Sorry to be so obvious. If it was me I'd pick Lego Land just cause I love legos.

The Zoo.
The Zoo is educational, you can see so many unexpected
great things take place. You can create great memories and take wonderful pictures. Lego's are great to, but they will be home waiting for you all when your done enjoying the Zoo.
Happy Birthday!

Neither.
He's only 3, so if you do make great memories it's not like he's going to retain them. I would have a nice party at home, decorations, cake, pictures, maybe some fun things for the kids to do (I'm not sure of good examples I don't work w/3-year olds). Save your money for next year, lego land or the zoo will probably still be a dilemma then. And when your son is a little older he will be better able to express his preference.

You're right, I'd take him to Lego Land. The zoo is fun for older kids. Lego Land is fun and hands on for little kids.

If he likes Lego's, then Lego Land! I was amazed the first time I went! It has something for all ages, from the Duplo water park area to the mini-cities. There are different themes for each area, and there's just a lot for a 3 year-old to do.
If he's more of an animal guy, do the Zoo. Take the bus tour and lots of snacks. We like to go to the Zoo because it's a great place to walk. My kids have always enjoyed it, but I'm a big zoo fan so they didn't have much choice. For 3, take a stroller, plan to circle the snakes slowly several times, and head out to the giraffes and elephants.
Either way, have a happy third with your little guy!

The zoo. He might not like Legos. Most children love animals.

The zoo, at 3 years old he is not tall enough to ride most of the rides at lego land. The zoo is great for all ages, and he will be able to see his favorite animals, it might also be a bit educational you can help him learn about the animals, while still having a fun great day. I go to the zoo about once a month and it is alot of fun, I love seeing the little kids running around seeing there favorite animals. As for lego land, my neice went when she was 5 and still wasn't tall enough to ride most of the rides, she also didn't have that great of a time, the only thing she really liked was seeing all the legos, I would recomend lego land next year.
