Good Beach Location for Wedding in San Diego County?
Im looking for a spot either on the beach or on the cliffs with an ocean view. It need to be somewhere between San Diego and Oceanside and the farther north the better. Our reception will be in Fallbrook and we dont want to have to travel TOO far to get there. We need a space that will hold no more than 50 people.
The "Wedding Bowl" in La Jolla sounds perfect for you.
Location: Intersection of Coast Blvd. and Cuvier Street
Telephone: Contact the City of San Diego for permit – (619) 235-1160
Capacity: 40 ( I have a friend who squeezed in 70) This popular wedding site is a small park called Cuvier Park. Wedding Bowl offers a spectacular setting overlooking La Jolla Cove. The grassy bluff is 5 steps below the street providing some privacy. The city issues just one permit per day for a wedding ceremony at this park. No receptions allowed.

La Jolla Cove (be sure to get it when it's not too crowded! ah) or for sure, Carlsbad. But I think the foliage/plants tend to look best in mid spring when everything is blooming. By the summer and fall, it's too late. San Clemente isn't too bad either.

Oceanside Harbor/ Beach is nice. It if right off the 78 with a large sandy beach and plenty of parking. La Jolla is cool but parking is a big problem and you may need to have valet parking at La Jolla cove. Del Mar beach at 15th and Coast is beautiful it has a cliffside park and large sandy beach.

If your reception is in Fallbrook, you don't want to be travelling all the way down to La Jolla! (Even with no traffic, you're looking at 45 minute drive.) I would recommend Oceanside Harbor, or possibly Moonlight Beach in Encinitas.

Be careful of La Jolla, it can get real stinky sometimes. I saw a wedding last spring someone had next to seal beach and it was pretty rank.
