A beautiful, moderately difficult hike near San Diego county?
Dec 29, 2009 in
San Diego County
I am taking my girlfriend on a hike within San Diego county, but I do not know where to take her. I don’t know much about famous hiking trails and I can’t seem to find many good ones via the internet. I have been to the borrego palm canyon trail and so has my girlfriend. Its a beautiful place, but I’m trying to find a place as nice or nicer than that. Maybe torrey pines? I want to surprise her.
Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks!
Climb to the top of Mount Cuyamaca. Beautiful view.

Two of my favorite hikes are Elfin Forest and Cedar Falls.
Cedar Falls is near Julian. You can actually hike down and swim beneath the falls. This is a hike you need to do in the spring when the falls are running.
Both Torrey Pines and Cabrillo National Monument have shorter hikes, but beautiful scenery.
