Hello everybody im interested in spear fishing and
I was wondering if you could spear fish anywhere in san diego ca (not wildlife preserves)and also if you could just spear fish off the shore and if you need some kind of permit or class expirience. Please reply and tell me if there is any cheap websites for spearguns thanks.

Yes, and here are some links to give you more information on spear fishing in the area. I also included a link to a good online source for a good beginner’s spear gun. What I’d suggest though is that you stop into some of the dive and tackle shops mentioned on the second link and see what they have for you.

Good luck with your search..

I’m planning a get away with some friends in march, to visit San Diego beaches. How much would a shore house cost to rent for a week? Are there any other beaches that are less popular than San Diego that have shore houses?

A 2br will be around $3-4000 per week plus deposit. If it competes with spring break and a lot of other people with the same idea as you show up, then add another $1000 to the price. It’s like having a house for rent near the Superbowl. Owners will gouge the market. That’s for the better beach zones from Tourmaline to the South Mission Beach Jetty.

Ocean beach will be less. Imperial Beach just isn’t where I would pay $1K to hangout at. It lacks the flair of PB-MB.

I need this by tommorow for a party. Any beaches other than Corranado

South Mission Beach down by the Jedi. There is a basketball court and several beach volleyball courts set up there. At the very end of Mission Beach (South) - opposite direction of Pacific Beach. Open to all.
