Your best answer will come from the club. Communicate with them directly.
Of the San Diego Zoo and Wild Animal Park in San Diego which is better? Why?
I will be going in September. It is just my sister and I. We are just trying to do some planning and trying to decide which would be better.
Thanks
Really, this is kind of surprising. From what I have seen, the zoo looks better. I think there is more animals there, would this be the case? She really wants to see pandas, polar bears, etc.
I guess I will do more research online tonight. We have the fun pass, so unfortunately we don’t have enough time for both.
Thanks so far for the answers!
Both are great places to visit, and it would be up to the individual to decide which one is better.
If you’re looking to do more than just see animals, then you would want to visit the zoo because it’s in San Diego whereas the Wild Animal Park is about 30-45 minutes away in North County. The Zoo is located in Balboa Park, which offers a whole lot of things to do. You can spend a couple days just going through the zoo and Balboa park.
How to choose a dojo in San Diego county.?
I have been wanting to learn a martial art for quite a while, although I’m careful about where I spend my money. I want a "real" dojo and not one in a shopping mall that parents use to babysit their kids. No preferance on style, I believe that if you learn one style well enough it doesn’t matter who you fight. Though I want a school with a history of competition fighting. Please only people with actual knowledge and not their friends thoughts on it, thank you.
I would suggest Schu-Fu. Its not for pussy’s though. Its a great small close knitt group of MMA fighters. Schu-fu teaches you to survive in modern day situations (street fights). It is a combination of Kempo, White Tiger Kung-Fu, Aki Jiu Jitsu, Boxing, Wrestling, Chin Na, & Chi Gunh. I believe they have 3 Dojo’s In San Diego. Check out the link and the creditials of Grand Master Schu.
I’m going to San Diego for a vacation with my parents in about a month and I really want to bike around. They’re concerned that gangs and people will jump me or something. Does anyone live near San Diego that could let me know if it’s safe to bike around the beach or something without being harmed ?
Oh my gosh! There are so many people that ride bikes around the beach in San Diego. Gangs and crime aren’t really a problem during the daytime considering the crowds, and they still aren’t a true problem at night either. Pacific Beach and Mission Beach, especially around Belmont Park, are where most people bike, and there are even several bike rental shops in both neighborhoods. Mission Bay is another popular biking and jogging area.
There are alot of people to watch out for, so don’t run into anybody. And use the turning lanes to turn a street instead of crosswalks. Stay in the bike lanes, never on the sidewalk. Just use basic bike rules, haha.
What is a typical price for utilities in San Diego?
I am hoping to move out on my own for the first time and I really don’t know what to expect. I am going to be moving to the San Diego area and I am planning on paying for electricity, cable, water etc. What is a good estimate for these? I know it is hard to estimate because it depends on how much you use them but I am trying to figure out a budget.
I’ve worked this formula out for estimating G&E expenses and it’s pretty much on the mark.
To heat, cool and light up an apartment it’s all contingent on the amount of cubic feet involved.
Let’s say you rent a one bedroom place that’s 900 sqft. The ceiling is 8 ft. high. So 900 x 8 = 7,200 cubic feet.
Multiply 7,200 x .01 and you get $72.00. That’s your average monthly bill.
You cable bill will be around $125 per month if you have a bundled service of Internet, cable TV and Phone. Will run around $100 if you drop the phone. Depending on what part of SD you live in will determine your cable provider. Their rates vary slightly.
Now for water. Most apartments include water in your rent which is very convienient. If you rent a house, then the game changes completely based on landscaping etc.
I know someone who has a 5500 sqft house and the .01 cents per cubic foot costs worked out as an almost perfect estimate.
