I am a San Diego resident and JUST picked up my resident card yestarday and my buddy is in town and REALLY wants to play torrey Pines. I was wondering If it is possible for me to pay for my round and a cart and pick him up at maybe the 2nd hole. Orrr Does anyone know a Marshal that works there that is willing to look the other way after getting 20$…Anyone know how to go around the system here. I have never played there and don’t nec know the system where the marshals hang out and where it’s hot and all that
Anyone know how to go around the system a lil or maybe He just can’t throw down 100-and 175$ We are going to play the South course

I’ll be sure to call the marshall and let him know you are coming. If he cant pay the rate, go find a different course.

Anyone else get hate mails from this guy about our answers?

So my left foot is injured,, and my family is planning to go to the San Diego Zoo tomorrow. I can’t use crutches right now, and one of those walkers where you put one of your knees on it is also out of the question. Do they have some sort of scooters or wheelchairs in San Diego Zoo?

The San Diego Zoo does have electric scooters for rent. I went last January and wish I had rented one because I had cramps so bad that I couldn’t walk! Sorry about your foot! :) hope it gets better.

What time of year is the weather a little to uncomfortable to go to the beach in a swimsuit and swim/lay out in San Diego?

The water is cold the year round because it is a northern current.

As far as lying on the beach, The winter months as well as May and June are not the best. "May Grey" and "June Gloom" are caused by a local weather condition where the hot desert air sucks in the marine layer off the ocean and creates coastal fog and clouds. This dissipates as the ocean water warms in late June / July.

From July through October the weather is pretty much the same, late night and early morning clouds which burn off at the beach mid morning, leaving sunny skies.

September and October are the best weather months. Be aware that Santa Anna conditions (high pressure forces hot wind off the desert) can occcur any time of the year, sending the temperatures into the 90s.

I have to take my driver’s test and I was wondering if anyone had any insight on the different DMVs in the San Diego area. Basically are there any that have easier courses, closed courses, lower fail rates, anything really.

In fact, the DMV at otay, close to the Otay border, happens to have the easiest behind the wheel test. While others DMVs take you out into traffic, which could get you nervous or something, this one has its own testing area in the back where you don’t deal with traffic and test is fairly easy.

This is the location I’m talking about
